This is a tough one. If councils and HAs are to build more social homes, there need to be consistent, additional rent income for them. But also a) housing benefit has to increase to match (ie, not just CPI but CPI plus 1%) & the overall benefit cap has to change.

Any relevant work placements - if only for a few days - could also help. And of course, have a healthy grasp of contract law!
Has he undertaken any minis? Certainly one should be pursuing them, alongside extra-curricular bits e.g. debating / mooting (if have time). Then, try and be across some commercial law developments / recent cases and moreover commercial sectors - which interest him etc?
How old is your son / what educational stage is he at?
