The current energy feels different. More like being dragged by the wave. There’s a mix of uncanny valley, looking for escapism, and nostalgia for what we once were. Pop music mirrors that too.
Pop culture at times has been about celebrating the new. That’s when we feel like we’re riding the wave of technology and innovation. There was optimism in music we loved in the 2010s.
