Heritage Foundation has released an absolutely insane policy proposal to label all trans people as domestic terrorists. It uses completely made up instances of terrorism and made up statistics but facts don't matter to them.

It's not even clear what legal mechanism there is to do this. There's no law that allows for the designation of domestic organizations as terrorists. The current law only applies to foreign terrorist organizations. There are also major 1st Amendment implications here.
