Part of prob for any club is that the ‘jury’ makes up mind very early and then stand in court calling the defendants sh*t in unison. Bit difficult to ‘give evidence’ in those circs. On data, BK was adamant it is only used for first ‘sifting’. But our absentee owner is a huge, resolute data fan.
I’m not the defence barrister. I’m the CPS saying we don’t have enough evidence.
I think several who’d looked up to it then got injured. Remember, when we signed Teemu, it was to play out wide with Rhodes in the middle. Also Sarge was incapable of hitting the prov barn door for a while. Too soon to judge this crop of signings.
I’d be interested to learn whether injuries (and in one case, I believe, a mental health crisis) have been worse than norm in the frenetic Championship. Daniel did 2 am & pm training. Sounds like new guy will do tougher training. These are among the few football variables which can be controlled.
It’s inevitable he would answer similar questions with his own clichés: like Ministers put up to do the morning round of TV & radio. But he said some interesting stuff, esp to Connor. Pre-season wasn’t right, ‘availability’ (injuries) has been poor, outside consultants used to look at those (more …)
The flesh lots of Lynn were my downfall.
Presumably those self-styled ‘patriots’ who mobbed outside a migrant hotel in Norwich “to protect our children” will be protesting on the Sandringham Estate soon.
I’m not at all. But without the riots, he wouldn’t have done immediate porridge — and (definitely without minimising his behaviour) the allegations against the N Andrew allegations are much further along the scale of seriousness (and he’s not been convicted) yet the peril he faces is minimal).
Meanwhile, Nonce Andrew, accused of serially sexually abusing a trafficked child, might possibly have to move into a smaller home.
And one of these men is seen to be proof of ‘broken Britain’. But it’s not Andrew Albert Christian Edward Saxe-Coburg and Gotha?
Let me see if I’ve got this right…
A bloke who was jailed for touching a young girl’s leg was jailed, erroneously released and quickly re-arrested is to be hurriedly deported because the original offence sparked violent, hate-filled unrest.
An oil-rich nation, desperate to sports-wash their reputation happened.
Not making any huge point by posting the clipping. Just interesting.
A tale of two Cities. (#NCFC)
Brilliant interview with ref Anthony Taylor by @jnorthcroft.bsky.social in @thetimes.com today. It should be compulsory reading before any of you watch your kids play football tomorrow.
We’d have found ourselves at war with several other countries.
Very wise.
6013 days, 7 prime ministers, 2 monarchs, 2 failed bids to become a city, 11 seasons with avg attendance below 20k, one win against their NCFC neighbours. ITFC.
Delighted to launch my latest book, THE SLUM SPORT - the story of the 1985/86 Football League season, as told by those who were there.

It’s an outstanding piece. Don’t worry about loons who read the headline.
It’s gone so quickly from ‘boat people’ to all immigrants. So quickly from ‘I don’t mind if they come here legally and pay taxes’ to ‘actually it’s anyone foreign’. We are living in the ‘first they came for’ poem. All to give the population a scapegoat so the super rich can hoard yet more wealth.
Incoming … big Boris corruption story in tomorrow’s #Guardian. Quel surprise!
My writing’s available for the waffle. 🤓
My point is Labour have tightened the process and, were she a Tory minister, she’d still be in place.
Context: Williamson, Gove, Patel breached Ministerial Code and didn’t resign. Boris Johnson’s advisor on code resigned because Govt was his advice. Gray report talked about culture of Covid rule breaking. Johnson didn’t resign. Hunt forgot he owned 7 flats. Zahawi forgot to pay £4.8 million taxes.
Even when they’re mid, nonsense, frothing rant, the Mail has to have a dig at a woman’s appearance.
The system seems to be conceding victory to the “gerrit forrard” mob.
I’ve remembered that hotel (The George, off Newmarket Rd) does top breakfast & I’ve got good book on Kindle. But our football midweeks aren’t meant to be about seeking solace in the overnight. Pity the thousands of kids for whom that was their NCFC introduction & last treat of hols
I’d suggest one player looking OK is nowhere near enough.
Playing long to lone, 5’9” Kvistgaarden who scrapped for 2nd ball. Is that the Norwich way now?
Of course. But usually I can see a spark of encouragement. Only when Kenny came on did we have any pattern. GK always goes long, and our best hope is long throws. 🤦🏼♂️
230 miles round trip for #NCFC. Not a single redeeming feature. 😳
