Licenses are done on a per game basis, for that to work they would need to negotiate new licenses from both Amazon MGM Studios and Skydance/StudioCanal. I'd be very surprised if they managed to pull that off.

Another example is that I'm putting together a game in Godot and I needed to code tools that are beyond my capabilities, I got GenAI to help me put it together. It's also been a good source in guiding me in figuring out scaling when building greybox levels.

It's not the tech that's the problem, it's how it's being used.
E.g. I'm self taught when it comes to drawing, I can look at something and pretty much copy it but I don't have the foundations. So I started using GenAI to put together a roadmap and exercises for me to practice the basics of drawing.

It's time to revisit this classic.

Two or so years ago in a conversation with a senior co-worker I asked why we were simply copying everything about this other (very popular and profitable) game in the same genre as us instead of trying to stand out. The reply I got was "do you think you know better than them?" 🤷‍♂️

It's a f2p shooter, the approach towards the majority of these free projects is to simply play it safe.

It's really annoying seeing a lot of people compare the upcoming #Supergirl film to Guardians of the Galaxy.
It looks nothing like it, if anything it appears to lean into Space Western - what I see in it is Firefly and Cowboy Bebop.

It wouldn't be as bad as Paramount winning the bid, I'd take Netflix over Paramount any day of the week. But as a fan of theatres and physical media, Netflix would be a bad choice as well since they aren't very big on physical releases. And yes, I know some of their stuff gets physical releases.

I've disliked most of Catwoman's designs but I really do like this one. Absolute, 90s and the Michelle Pfeifer costumes are simply perfect👌.

My preferred template for how Superman should be is based on his comic book Post-Crisis portrayal and on Superman: TAS, yet I still enjoy Man of Steel & love James Gunn's Superman.

It's fine if they're different, they're all valid takes. The only thing that matters is if it's fun and entertaining.

It's fine to prefer Donner's approach and dislike the others but outright dismissing those that like the other incarnations because they aren't the exact same as someone else's work is outright ridiculous.

Certain people need to stop comparing every #Superman related thing to Richard Donner's Superman. I roll my eyes every time I hear someone mention Superman and verisimilitude in the same line. Richard Donner is Richard Donner, the other directors are the other directors.

What are you on about? The majority of FF mobile games have been pretty good and have lasted 5 to 10 years.

Recently the only one that was a complete disaster and died a quick death was FF7: The First Soldier, lasting around a year and a half.

I've got a real soft spot for these old #CannonFilms films. They had small budget but made up for it with passion and are a ton of fun. Not to hate on modern films but I'd take this over some of the modern massive budget flicks...also they're 90 minutes long 🙌

I don't particularly like Brie Larson but what matters to me is the performance, as long as she nails that then I couldn't care any less that she's behind the voice.
