A sick sense of humor is an important defense mechanism for those of us in the often gory field of medicine and surgery.

My sense of humor is about as sick as it gets.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you out there, but especially to my Jennifer, who controls the chordae tendonae of my heart.

I will never understand why any of this is even remotely controversial.

The red hats and I live in two different realities, it would seem.

Tonight we won the first round, and for each round you win, you win a free shot of the alcohol of your choice.

Unfortunately I’m on call tonight, so no alcohol for me, but at least we can brag about round one. 🥹

Three more rounds to go. The Mrs. might get snockered if I play my cards right. 😂

Seems to me like he just wants to burn the whole damned country to the ground.

I’m too old to meet work requirements in other countries, I suspect, so for me, it’s retirement abroad or nothing.

Is anyone else compiling a list of great countries outside of the US to retire to, or am I the only one?

I’d hope for a bloodless one, but given who we’re dealing with, I think that’s highly unlikely.

I wanted to be an astronaut so badly growing up. Not sure how I got derailed, but I suspect one of my sons might give space a try as a physician, possibly through NASA, but won’t rule out the private sector.

I was 5 when Apollo 11 landed. It’s probably my most indelible childhood memory.

It’s better here than anywhere else at the moment.
