The first day was fantastic, as a neutral I loved every bit of the drama that shouldergate Kholllision provided.

Plenty of individual cricketers played test cricket aggressively prior to Bazball, so yeah, England didn't "invent" aggressive batting.

So I think they are thinking that the ball is doing a lot , they will get one eventually with their name on it, so might as well go crazy and get some freak runs while we are collapsing. Looks hideous but I will take whatever at this point.
