I'm still trying to figure some things out, maybe redo it next week without the ledge grab to see why it's so wonky. The wall traces are wrong, & it shouldn't be able to do it continuously. Otherwise, great success.

But just a heads-up, thereโs a bug in Unreal 5.6.1 where the arena shooter doesnโt load the correct Blueprints by default. Check my image for the right settings for BP_FirstPersonGameMode. #gamedev #ue5
It sort of does? But It annoys me that the Arena Shooter template doesn't load the Arena Shooter map by default. Whose decision was it to load the default First Person map?

Set the loops and overall shape, but change details procedurally to ensure fresh gameplay?
Idk.
Watching a video on multiplayer FPS map design and my brain lit up at the concept of "noise" vs "signal." Too much "noise" creates uncertainty, and players won't push the gameplay loops. Too much "signal" and they don't feel engaged by the gameplay loops.
