I've been slower the last couple days posting incidents where police violate press rights at ICE protests in Los Angeles.

That's only because I'm (temporarily) prioritizing this tracker spreadsheet, used for accountability efforts. 50+ in under a week. I get word of more incidents every few hours.

I actually met him once in the Denver airport. He was waiting for his luggage and there was a gaggle of people standing probably 15 feet back from him awe. I was in college and figured, why not ... so I walked up to him, introduced myself as a journalism student and we chatted for a few minutes.

Roughly 400 Books Removed From Wilson County School Libraries District removes books including ‘The Bluest Eye,’ ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and Dr. Seuss’ ‘Wacky Wednesday’ to comply with state law

Nearly 400 books removed from school libraries in one Tennessee county. Based on my skim of the list, most of them appear to be books by women, authors of color, &/or LGBTQ+ authors.

A reminder to people that independent bookshops that are coming to here from Twitter are taking a financial risk as that social media outlet is a major factor in marketing and getting sales.
