Chantal is right. 30 percent is, frankly, scandalous. Developers toiling away, studios struggling to keep the lights on, all while Valve generates billions every year.

this hits more than ever in this starvation-times era of the industry where thousands are out of work and studios are struggling for any financial viability to keep going

I really hope people are finally waking up

I'm actually critiquing Valve very directly within the sphere of capitalism. they have artfully created a good guy persona while cultivating a monopoly wherein they bleed smaller studios dry/have them fight for scraps in valve's pursuit of mind-boggling profit
