It's probably is best not to judge any player based on last season. If I'm honest, Kovacic (when fit) would easily get in ahead of Nico G as a partner for Rodri. Especially if Bernardo needs a rest.

Found Pep’s use of Foden and Cherki recently to be very interesting. Feels like he’s prioritizing goals and athleticism over technique and ‘pausa’.

To me this is about accepting the changes in the league and the transitional nature of this season with a new squad. I expect ‘pausa’ returns 26/27.

Whilst I see what you mean about the system, unfortunately he was bought to be part of that early build up. The problem is the coaches have realised he's crap at almost everything except crashing the box. If a midfielder doesn't have a range of passing, he can't play for City IMO.

Gundo is/was ten times the player the Reijnders is. Gundo was doing it at the highest level in his early 20's. Reijnders has had one 'breakout' season in Milan and he's 27.

No idea what you mean by he's our version of Trossard. He's just not very good, and the fact he scores a goal every 4 games doesn't change that.
