Thanks for sharing, so beautiful ❤️ I only know the other side, losing both my parents & with a brother in late stages. It's important caregivers recognize suffering is not about their inability to provide care (too easy to feel like we're failing.) I'm so proud of my family for how hard they fought.

It's time to turn disability into a method instead of an edge case. Disability reveals where design is brittle. Disabled users aren't special needs users, they're the perfect stress test for systems. - Angela Young #axecon

I went in and ordered items that could be delivered and then went back and found more items on the list that could be delivered and ordered those too. 😆 It's good to know you can do either, though!

They're supposed to arrive tomorrow and Tuesday. I don't need any photos, though!

I may be doing something wrong (long week) 😅 but only the soap and travel size shampoo will let me set as delivery. The other items want me to set a store pick up time.

I've been passing the time using BG3 dialogue in real life:

"A hand? Anyone?"

"Auspicious."

"You can't cast a shadow without some light."

"All's well that ends not as bad as it could have."

"Fate spins along as it should."

Please tell your writers how much I appreciate their work! <3

Screen Reader Demo for Digital Accessibility YouTube video by UCSF Documents & Media Photography

For people who don't use screen readers, it can be difficult to understand how screen readers work. If you're interested in learning how people use screen readers, check out this demo from Marc Sutton and The University of California San Francisco.

Me: Ohhhh, did I finally get an invite?!
Withers: No.

Larian, you broke my heart on Valentine's Day. *sad penguin noises* OK, fine. I guess I'll do my sixth...billionth playthrough! 😊

The back of a Howard Johnson Topps baseball card that says: Howard was co-winner of a rib-eating contest among professionals after 1985 season.

Imagine if Bill Buckner wasn't born and this ended up being the highlight of his life.

HTML5 Accessibility Chops: notes on using ARIA - TPGi I have jotted down some notes on ARIA concepts and usage that may be useful for developers. Note: this information is now being actively maintained as part of Using ARIA...

I wrote the rules of ARIA, their intention was not to discourage, but to encourage developers to understand the benefits of the built-in semantics, accessibility and behaviours already available in native HTML

Mind The (Remediation) Gap - TPGi When auditors provide advice on accessibility issues, it's primarily about the HTML used. But do frontend developers actually know HTML these days?

"[Overreliance on #JavaScript frameworks to build web contents] can leave developers confused, [accessibility] consultants struggling to help, and people with disabilities still having to deal with inaccessible websites daily."
