A page from The Eltingville Club #1. A teenaged girl enters Joe's comic shop and everything comes to a halt. She asks about a comic and is met with the customers all taking camera photos of her as if she's a cryptid. She feels. Joe says some disparaging things about girls and comics, oblivious to his shitty business sense, reality, and his garbage attitude. An exaggeration based on decades of comic book shop behavior and stunted fandom attitudes. It's better than it used to be, at least.
