Very good!

That is correct. GLAAD often does not tell the truth.

Have you read any of my reporting on trans issues?

27.02.2026 21:39 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

You are always welcome to read my work about transgender issues and come back with any specific thoughts rather than sweeping and vague complaints.

Bye now.

27.02.2026 20:58 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That is what I welcome you to ask me about.

27.02.2026 20:55 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So you do not know anything about my reporting on trans issues and yet feel confident in your assessment of my body of work.

I don’t comment on my work for the Times. You’re welcome to ask me about my reporting about trans issues.

27.02.2026 20:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Can you point me to specific reporting that I’ve done about trans issues that you or anyone else has taken issue with?

27.02.2026 20:19 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You are welcome to point to any articles that I have written that concern you and to specify any problems you have with them.

27.02.2026 20:01 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I said I invite you to ask questions about my reporting. You are asking me questions about other people’s work.

Have you read any of my work?

Because you have never read my work and yet have spent the last hour yelling at me due to your anger about reporting of mine that you actually know nothing about.

27.02.2026 19:38 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Are there any articles I’ve written that concern you because they contain errors?

27.02.2026 19:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Have you read any of my reporting? Is there anything specific that I’ve written that concerns you?

Refer to my other posts. You are making straw man arguments and straying from the subject. And also you have never read my reporting, so you cannot speak with any authority on what is wrong with it.

27.02.2026 19:29 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m a journalist, I learn from experts. That’s how this works.

27.02.2026 19:28 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t agree that those examples fall in the category I specified.

27.02.2026 19:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

My knowledge of this comes from interviews with experts in medical ethics and health law.

…the body that have no parallels with other forms of psychiatry, endocrinology, surgery or plastic surgery. Therefore the ethics of these medical endeavors are quite different, especially with minors.

27.02.2026 19:24 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I am clarifying what I meant. Examples of changing the body to treat a psych condition include hysterectomies to treat hysteria, lobotomy for all manner of things, and gender-transition hormones or surgeries to treat gender dysphoria. These are major alterations to the appearance or structure of…

27.02.2026 19:24 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

A lobotomy is changing the body under this definition. ECT affects people’s CNS, but you’re not surgically altering the body.

27.02.2026 19:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You are using a different definition, your point is moot.

27.02.2026 19:18 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 1

Refer to my other post about how I am defining changing the body and how you are using a different definition, making your examples all moot.

27.02.2026 19:17 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Can you name another form of body modification in which doctors prescribe drugs or use surgeries to change the appearance or structure of the body to treat a psych condition that is in the DSM? Plastic surgeries may be used to make people happy, but they are not medically indicated for that.

27.02.2026 19:15 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Firstly, when I said change the body, I meant change the appearance of the body. SSRIs by the definition you are using change the body because they impact neurotransmitters. And by treat the mind I mean they are specifically indicated to treat a condition in the DSM.

27.02.2026 19:12 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m referring to psychiatric conditions, not neurocognitive conditions.

27.02.2026 19:10 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

You’re suggesting that apheresis is a psychiatric treatment?
