I’ve been afraid to do another and see just how much aging 5 more years towards 50 has taken away from me. Levels still feel fine for power zone rides so who knows… maybe mine went down no wait up 4 as well.

Mine still has the yellow level fluid if you pop the base off; I’ve heard the ones with blue fluid are newer and still supported

Haha the Honeywell I got at Home Depot this am isn’t compatible with my old wiring (no C wire).

I got a new “dumb” AA battery powered thermostat” from Ace, so I can at least have basic heat and scheduling. The thermometer is off by 15° so not heating correctly either. YOU HAD ONE JOB.

It’s less than 65° inside pray for me.

The old nest was no longer supported and didn’t work on either anymore. As of last night it stopped charging despite no wiring changing.

I have a Honeywell T5 already for the upstairs furnace which works fine and is pretty cheap (under $100); seemed easy to just get another one until I got it home this am and realized my main floor wiring doesn’t have the required C line for power 🙄. Old nest never required one.

Do any of you know if there any ecobee models that don’t require the C wire for power? Somehow my gen1 nest never needed one but the Honeywell I picked up requires it so won’t work with current old wiring

One weird thing I learned is that while crockpots and “traditional” instapots can’t make crusty bread they can make thick, spongey cakes out of pancake batter! Great with a maple buttercream or just topped like pancakes
