Let's discuss the the war after Trump discovers his plan hasn't worked. The Iranians sink an oil tanker in the Straight of Hormuz. The strait is only 21 miles wide! An oil tanker couldn't go through the strait if Iran didn't want it!

The strait of Hormuz is for all practical purposes closed! This pinch point is the" Only Leverage" that Iran currently has. So they will consistently attack shipping! In response, the US will have to take the Iranian side of the strait.
