CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.Β

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Arlington National Cemetery stops highlighting some historical figures on its website Articles, photos and videos that are seen as promoting DEI will be removed under the new approach.

When I present to kids about history, we talk about how some history gets lost by accident - and how some is intentionally erased. That's when it falls on all of us to make sure those stories are shared. www.npr.org/2025/03/14/g....

A digital collage of four children's book covers on a yellow background:

"One Step Forward" by Marcie Flinchum Atkins – A blue-toned illustrated cover featuring a woman in a vintage outfit with a sash reading "Votes for Women," adorned with flowers and ribbons.
"All By Myself (but sometimes you need a little help!)" by Elizabeth Everett, illustrated by Shelley Hanna – A watercolor-style illustration of a young child reading a book while surrounded by building blocks and a toy car. The title appears on a banner with a hand-drawn feel.
"The Tower" by David Anaxagoras, narrated by Christopher Gebauer – A dark, dramatic cover with a silhouetted figure against a glowing background, with the title in bold, stylized typography.
"Bear and Friends: Puzzle Reader Collection" (Highlights Puzzle Readers) – A bright and cheerful illustration featuring a bear and foxes engaged in a playful activity, with text highlighting "6 Books in 1!" and bonus matching activities.

Here’s an idea: Democrats, hold town halls in Republican districts.

A Union Takes on Musk via Tesla’s Stock The American Federation of Teachers is pressuring some of the carmaker’s biggest shareholders as the tech mogul's cost-cutting influence in Washington sets off alarm bells.

Every worker deserves a safe a secure retirement. Just this week we saw Tesla stock continue to sink faster than a Cybertruck in quicksand. So we're asking asset managers to honestly look at their investments in Tesla.

Over the years, Musk and his businesses have received at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies and tax credits, often at critical moments, a Washington Post analysis has found, helping seed the growth that has made him the world’s richest person.
