I am very excited to announce something special I've been working on for my YouTube channel that is going to be a vibe for my old school viewers! 😏😏😏

It was disturbing too because at first she was just targeting me with the microagressions and I thought "how could another woman make me feel so targeted?" and then she started doing it to the rest of the group and everyone felt totally uncomfortable.

Posting this here because I have a lot of friends who are in these spaces and I've never been made to feel invalidated or been harassed by you, and this girl might come here at some point and try to say I'm not a real ally or supporter of her or her group. Protect your boundaries, friends.

Treating people with respect and kindness and maturity really goes both ways. You can't ask for a safe space while also treating that safe space like your personal punching bag. We will show you the exit.

But if you've gotten an explanation and a chance to come back and your response is to yell and kick and scream, and tell us that we're anti-whatever your group may be, just know that we have you a space and let you in. You're the one that tried to destroy it.

So if I'm being sexually harassed, and my friends are being infantalized, and my marriage is disrespected, and you start calling me a b*tch, and you question my job, then yeah, we aren't going to keep allowing you into our safe space.

So if I meet a person in real life, I'll immediately try to give them a welcoming and comfortable place within my groups and home.

But the thing is: being in a marginalized group doesn't give you a pass to be a jerk to the rest of the group.

I do this in real life too, just as much as I try to do it online. Online I use a code of conduct for my spaces (discord, patreon page, comment section on YouTube etc) to ward off potential harassment. That's not just for me, that's for people who join who may be targeted too.

As someone who has lots of friends in marginalized spaces, and as a woman myself, I've really taken the initiative to support and stand up for folks who need it, so if I can I'll welcome people into my spaces with open arms and give them a safety net. Cont/

This is a "had to be there" moment but sometimes my sass comes out and it cracks my mom up.
