12 Polling Places Move Before Mississippi Special Elections, 4 Close County election officials in Mississippi have moved 12 polling places and closed four since 2024, an MFP investigation finds.

Counties also have incorrect addresses in the state system for 11 polling places, risking sending some voters to the wrong location.

Cuellar & Gonzalez are going to narrowly get re-elected because the gerrymander didn’t completely destroy their districts—that is, if the maps hold up in court.

As it stands right now, a D+4 electorate in 2026 probably nullifies the gerrymandering effort.

A few things:

California’s gerrymander will nullify the Texas one.

The Texas gerrymander may not hold up in court as they passed a gerrymander that created 2 white-majority districts, while a verdict still awaits on their current map.

Latinos re-alignment may be temporary.
