A pencil sketch of a fabulous moggy type cat wearing a lace collar and bell saying: This is my book Miiaau! signed 'Mouton'. He looks fierce and adventurous

Timeline cleanse: I would like to introduce you to your new favourite archival object: The fabulous adventures of Mouton, the cat, by Emily M. Madden: wellcomecollection.org/works/rzwecsjy

HAVE MET A VERY TALKATIVE SHEEP CALLED MURIEL. SPENDING MUCH OF MY TIME IN DEEP DISCUSSION ON MATTERS OF THEOLOGY & PSYCHOLOGY.

I've had IUDs inserted twice and only ever been offered an anesthetic spray on the cervix, not even a local injected painkiller, even when saying "yeah this was agonisingly painful last time. The spray does nothing". And told to take Tylenol if it's still sore, of course

The suggested text in this "Save the Date" template is "X and Y are finally getting married". Really? Finally? Is any corner of the wedding industry not deeply judgementally heteronormative? Like, calm down

If you don't mind me asking, Where are you getting those cute hounds tooth masks?

The episode inspired me. Next time I get my IUD swapped I'm asking for whatever painkiller they give guys getting a vasectomy.

A little black cat, viewed from the back, with her tail swishing, standing next to a laptop on a lap desk

In case you're wondering, a cat tail can operate a trackpad

I'd be willing to bet she was talking about the intense normalisation of these procedures and pressure to conform and has been headlined to sound like she's insulting women who don't get botox. Anyway, I'm with you. I stopped dying my hair when I started getting greys. I think they add depth

I just overheard a guy breaking up with his girlfriend immediately after she paid for his printing, then when confronted about this responding "I don't know what to tell you. We live in a society".

Like Fennel could make Conan the Barbarian, but it'd have an artsy font, entirely aesthetic shots, and she'd talk about in interviews wanting to explore our modern conceptions of steppe nomadic warrior cultures, not to be an anthropologist of them but as a mirror to our society, or some meshugas

I finally put my finger on what I don't like about Emerald Fennel as a director: she makes dumb, horny blockbusters pretending to be arthouse cinema. Which is a disservice to dumb, horny movies and Arthouse cinema, both of which I enjoy very much in their own rights.

The left side might also be considered feminised labour, relying on communication and nurturing relationships

Sorry, were the Iranian people not already in the middle of the biggest uprising the country had seen since the deposition of the Shah when the US started dropping bombs? There was an uprising going on, and now people who were marching in the streets are in their homes, hiding from drone strikes

Let me be the five millionth to say: the wedding industry is such an F-ing GRIFT! I literally just want a large empty room (possibly with a sound system) but everyone with a big room wants me to buy their terrible food and pay extra for chiffon bows on the chairs! We are not chiffon bow people!!

The cuff of a hand knit sock, it is stripey with bright pink, orange, and yellow coliurs, in the background is a laptop keyboard

Fantastic two days at the #CopimConfernce
I really loved the closing keynote, so many fascinating and challenging ideas. I also can only agree that it's lovely to be among your intellectual "allies"
I also managed to complete this much sock during the conference

'(Open scholarly publishing infrastructures) are useless without the love' is definitely my favourite idea from the #CopimConference
The point is the community building and the sharing!😊 the rest is just how we have to sell it to a university SMT

A black cat curled up in a sun beams with her black toe beans showing, in the sun you can see her strong ginger undertone

Someone isn't finding e-thesis preservation as interesting as I do here at #CopimConfernce day 2
Yes she's just an orange boi in goth clothing

Sometimes it seems like the BL has spent more on PR people following the data breach than they have on tech people that can fix the system

That is a poor substitute, but it's good to see any updates at all

It's kind of wild to me that the BL not only hasn't restored EThoS, but not said anything about restoring it.

To say nothing of the fact that universities almost never consider open source systems that the library sysadmin could customise to suit their needs better

It is absurd that the people who use these systems the most don't seem to have much of a voice in the procurement process at many universities, especially larger ones
