Bluesky popup reads Saved posts: Finally! Keep track of posts that matter to you. Save them to revisit anytime.

Real bookmarks are here! Except they're called Saved Posts! But the icon is still a bookmark! Just ignore that bit!

It doesn't look like the Bluesky API lets apps create bookmarks yet, so I can't build a converter to automatically transfer over your DM bookmarks yet... (1/4)

...but you can go through the feed (bsky.app/profile/book...) and bookmark anything in there you want to keep. If it's added to the API soon I'll build a converter.

This account and feed will keep working for now, but I'll probably retire them in a few months. I hope it's been helpful! (2/4)

Good news! You can now delete bookmarks to remove them from your bookmarks feed.

You'll need to go into your DMs with me, then long-press on the message (on mobile) or hover over it and click the 🙂 icon (on desktop) , then use the 😢 reaction. The bookmark will be removed from your feed instantly.

(If you prefer, you can also 🗑️, 🚮, 👎 or ❌ to delete, but 😢 was the most appropriate of the default reactions 🤷‍♂️)

How to delete bookmarks 👇

You can then select 'Delete for me' if you want to remove it from your DM history as well as the feed, but don't do this until you've used the reaction! The bot that runs the feed still sees the DM, as it's only deleted for you - the reaction is what tells it you want it removed from your feed.

Not yet I'm afraid. The cleanest way of doing it (deleting the DM) doesn't work because it only deletes it from your side of the conversation - the feed generator still sees it. I could maybe make it so if you resend the same post with "delete" as the message text it removes it

the new share menu might seem like a small update but it’s actually faster to bookmark posts with @bookmarkit.bsky.social now 👏👏
