I have a hen that comes inside every day to lay her egg too. The only place that she finds acceptable is my bathroom countertop. Chickens are so silly sometimes.

Cricket the Call Duck sits in her overnight sleeping space, two of her stuffed animals in a pile beside her while a third (a penguin) rests a few inches away from them. Mr. Penguin knows what he did.

I'm not sure what Mr. Penguin did but he's been booted out of the Friend Pile. I hope he apologizes soon.

After a rough morning of being terrified of the broom as I tried to sweep, Cricket is curled up in their favorite spot to relax. Also, we're starting to see feathering!

Every day, Cricket picks one thing to be completely terrified of for absolutely no reason. Yesterday it was her own shadow. Today it's the food dish that she's seen every day for two weeks now. Tomorrow maybe it'll be the towel it sits on. #ducks #backyardchickens

If she's egg bound, a warm soak in water might help.

Eggbound? Could also be injury. I would keep a close eye on her, maybe separate her from the others. If she's not eating/drinking, I'd get her to a vet.

Cookie is a shy girl, but secretly she loves head scritches and banana chips.
