No, Kerry, we're holding the exhibition in the Netherlands this time. Each exhibition we have is held in a different location. But, artists all around the world can support us by sending us their artwork.

Hi all! Just a quick update regarding PAE 26. Many have asked why there is no PAE in 2025. Due to our workload and our small team of volunteers, we have decided to hold PAE every 1.5 years. The Netherlands exhibit will be held in the Hauge in the spring of 2026. We are still working on dates. -David

This is so cool Denise! Sorry we did not see it until now. The call for artists will come later this year. We will now do PAE every 1.5 years, so the next one is in the spring of 2026. Thanks for always supporting us! -David

About us: PAE used to be named Twitter Art Exhibit (TAE). It was founded in 2010 by artist @davidsandum.bsky.social to raise funds for his local library/children books in Norway. He asked his artist friends on twitter to help his cause by sending hand-painted postcards to raise the needed funds. Through his initiative, 226 new books were acquired. Since then, it has grown and gone global with one exhibit per year (Now once every 1.5 years).

The original name was because it started on Twitter. Since then we have changed our name to PAE (Postcard Art Exhibit) for obvious reasons, also because we were already operating on various social media platforms.

The concept has never changed: Artists from all over the world create and send hand-painted postcards that are exhibited and sold for charity.

Our cause started in Norway, but has since taken place in cities such as Los Angeles, Orlando, New York City, Canberra, Stratford Upon Avon, Cheltenham, Edinburgh, Vancouver, McKinney, Texas etc.

We usually receive between 600-1000 cards from ca 45-60 countries. Each card sent is exhibited with the artists name, city, country, and social media handle, and included in our exhibit catalogue. There is no fee to enter and all cards all sold for the same price. Anyone can enter and send a card, professional or amateur alike. It is about the joy of creating art and helping those in need. We have had the blessing to have many established artists and celebreties participate.

The cities and causes are not selected by us: Potential curators apply to raise funds for causes they care about. We focus on small local charities in need of attention.

The next exhibit will be in the spring of 2026 in The Hauge in The Netherlands to raise funds for Alzheimer's.

We hope you can join us!

Yes, we changed the name a while back. Last year we had the first PAE (after name change) in McKinney, Texas. @robinpedrero.bsky.social did a fabulous job as curator! Hope that you can send a card next year. It feels good to revamp our energy on a new platform here. -David

Thanks for posting Elly! Amazing to consider that the next PAE (used to be TAE) will be nr 15! Thanks for sticking with us through all these years to support our worthy charities. Good karma heading your way! -David

Thank you. It's quite simple. After we have the call for artists, you register by e-mail. You will then get a reply with all info (size, address, and artist info sheet). You then create an original sized art postcard, put it in an envelope and send. We then exhibit it and sell for the charity.

It's wonderful to see many of our artists here! As the social media landscape is changing, we need to find new ways to connect. Please share our profile with artists that you believe can help our simple concept of creating a hand-painted postcard that is then exhibited and sold for charity.

Seeing them in photos, some people do not believe that my original works are painted and not printed.

We are enjoying some down time between events. We wrapped up #postcardartexhibit24 in Texas last Oct and we now look forward to hosting #postcardartexhibit26 in the Netherlands! It will be ways off before we open registration, but we're happy to be keeping up with the happenings of our artists.
