My favorite lemonade drink vanished from stores recently.
I am in shambles.
I'll be sanding and varnishing them this week. I'm really excited to use them!

It would seem that I was correct, There is a major difference between these batches.
I am going to inspect these differences for a little while. I like to write down what was done differently and what changed between test firings.
I'll post pictures later!
Congratulations!
18.02.2026 16:26 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The second test batch had glaze applied differently on two cups, the main glaze I am testing. I am very interested to see the results.
This was the first time I have experienced blistering to such a large degree!
Trial and error!!

I am thinking that the issue was that I layered too much glaze underneath the primary glaze, so all that buildup caused blistering on two of the cups.
The other two problematic cups were likely due to improper application, causing the outcome to be drastically different than expected.

THE CACTUS?!
(it's a thornless cactus thankfully LOL)

17.02.2026 19:54 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Well!!! I took a peak in the kiln.
It would seem I layered a little too much on two of them, and one of the combos really didn't like each other!!
One cup came out somewhat how I wanted, but it has issues.
Nothing share-worthy, but i might post pics later when it cools down!
