And yet you were up dark and early this morning. Don’t know how you manage to do it.

Today I pulled into a gas station but couldn’t get near the pump due to a large pickup ahead of me. The guy urged me to pull closer. Then he got into his truck and drove forward (the nozzle still in his truck) so I could access the pump behind him. I’m encountering the nicest people this week.

I’ve met some nice men on my commute this week thanks to Diet Pepsi. It takes an enormous amount of torque to release the plastic cap. I need help. I need a man. They’ve been amused.
“There you go, hon,” said the guy this morning.
I haven’t been called “Hon” in decades.

Hi there! Time for my first post on this refreshingly nice platform. I’m a retired newspaper reporter (25 yrs Victoria Times Colonist) who still likes to write and learn new stuff. I’ve written a memoir that won’t be published since it links trauma and illness, and I’m no academic.

Just found my way here too. The other place is depressing.
