"This person looks scary/doesn't look like mean, therefore they must be untrustworthy/evil" is a real line of reasoning bigots have. Fits perfectly for mammals and reptiles. Doesn't work as well with predators and prey. In real life, prey have legit reasons to distrust predators.

Mammals vs reptiles works because reptiles are easier to discriminate against/hold power over (cold-blooded). Also, there's no real reason to hate reptiles beyond them being 'scary' or 'ugly,' highlighting the real life inanities of bigotry.

Predator vs prey is not a good allegory for real life systemic prejudice because. It's too messy (are the predators in Zootopia meant to represent racial minorities? Because it's not a good look if so) and real life animals don't always fit either role perfectly.

I watched Zootopia 2 and I think it explored prejudice and discrimination a LOT better than the first movie. Mammals vs reptiles is a clear, simple allegory. The first movie kind of went back and forth between big vs small animals and predator vs prey.
