I see. That‘s tricky I assume, especially flying solo. 🤔 Whatever you decide, I got my pompoms ready. 🍀
Not sure this is the right question to ask (and also, I‘m just getting started so what do I know) but what would define a flop or a success for you?
Trying to get more comfortable talking about my disability.
Here's the system I use to get up and about in the morning (on bad days...like today). A pull up bar attached to the bed which I use to sit up, a walking stick which I use to stand long enough to transfer to the wheelchair.
Wishlisted. But maybe add the steam link for people lazier than me 😄
Alright. She can run and high jump. I‘ll probably never again make progress this fast.
It‘s just the right mix of scary and goofy, I don‘t know if I want to hug or run away
It‘s not a bug it‘s a, uhm, challenge mode
Congrats 😊

I bought a Leuchtturm 1917 notebook to sketch out my ideas.
I thought A5 would be too small so I bought the Master (A4+). This thing is huge. My hand for size comparison. And it‘s got 235 pages.
I can probably fit five games in there.

GDQuest was helpful. Still getting used to the structure of the Godot documentation though.

Okay, started work on my ugly proof-of-concept demo and I've got a basic platformer. She can walk, she can jump.
AND she can drop through platforms.
I think I would decrease the wait between the appearances (characters, dragon), and yeah, I’d definitely speed up the dragon drop. Maybe one wing flap might even be enough?
It could be a little faster but I love the flight animation and the zoom-in at the end.
But you‘ll know what you‘ve done and then next time you‘ll remember. 💪🏼
Skeleton walking animation. Learned a lot in terms of frame numbers and smoothness of movement vs. momentum.

Feel like this is an „add a game mode with the early drawings“ kind of situation.
Most recent reason for my existence:
A note-taking metroidvania where the only upgrades you get are knowledge.
You can already do everything, you just don‘t know how.
making video games is so hard lol
