Western MDZS fandom continues to treat Chinese fandoms as if they would read the novel written in their native language as shallow as Western fandom reading MDZS but still pretending they are more deep with understanding the novel by twisting the projecting their Western views on the novel

They now know Western MDZS fandom tends to twist and disrespect MDZS. And they understand Jiang Cheng character way more than the illiterate Jiang Cheng stans in the West.

That fanart looking official art cover plus the artist ruthie decided to use MXTX's name to deflect criticisms against "fanon looking ass Jiang Cheng" were just were just the last straw for Chinese fans to go nuclear on the artist and 7seas.

MDZS Western fans really think they know MDZS better than the Chinese fans. Why do I continue to see Western fans assuming Chinese fans just were just childishly mad at the JC cover arts and not because 7seas enabled people involving in MDZS publication to project their fanon biases on the novel?

And the backward guqin on volume 1 is showed how Orientalism has never gone from Western sphere, it just evolved into how American and Western fans appropriated foreign novels and just used them for fandom activities that barely had anything to do with the the actual work.

And sorry but the cover art volume 4 for the hardcover looked like someone just reused one of the indulgent fan arts of MDZA that just reflected the fanon biases instead of canonical events in the novel.

I don't like how guady, tacky and tasteless those cover arts look, and pairing with the fact that the English translation of MDZS is a trash fire. If the cover arts already look cheap in my eyes and now the translation is half-ass, why should I even buy them?

The cover art discourse beside, this is why I rather got the MDZS cover arts from other countries than the one from the US. The US art covers gave a wrong impression that this novel is fun adventure story for young adults and children and not matured romance novel.

And with revealed of the cover art for volume 5 which still centered around Jiang clan and acted like Wangxian ended up at Lotus Pier, may the Chinese fans succeed at their endeavors...

What made you think she was forced to draw thar cover art by 7seas when that was literally what she is known for as a fan artists?

7seas gave Suika so much freedom to bastardize the translations. This fan artists also loved to pull the Yunmeng bros fan arts to sell ideas that they would always be brothers, when the novel ended with the broken bond and WWX moving on with his new life and leaving the past behind, including JC.

Yes, that totally means it never happened... You weren't there then when people pointed out the erroneous translation Suika made and some of them directly relating to JC's characterizations.

When a MDZS discourse that involves Chinese fans, never trust the Western fans "recite" the event because they will center some poor fans who involved with 7seas for the novel publication as some kind of poor victims who did no wrong just to discredit the true grievances from the Chinese fans.

May be Chinese fans didn't simply hate the cover art because of Jiang Cheng on it. May be they hated it because Jiang Cheng did look like a blushing crying maiden, and I wouldn't even recognize him if it wasn't for his outfit and other characters.
