To me, it's about the economy of pain. Business owners (with employees) pay people to do the painful work they don't want to do. If technology can reduce the cost, or reduce the pain to such a point that owners can pay people less, that's what they'll do. (1/2)

One step further: you can use ChatGPT to determine what NOT to get for someone. AI suggestions are going to be pretty basic and uninspired.
(Except for money. If people need money, just give it to them. A heartfelt gift can be better appreciated when people have food to eat and a place to sleep.)
