I was eight when I watched Team USA beat the Soviets in 1980 on TV. I'm so glad I got to see this win today! So proud of both the Men's and Women's teams!

Congratulations to Andruw Jones on his induction to the Hall of Fame! I was lucky enough to get to watch him in person in Atlanta for the first six years of his career. He was superhuman in centerfield. He made the impossible play look easy. I look forward to seeing his induction in July!!!

Wild note from @slangsonsports.bsky.social & @andrewsimonmlb.bsky.social

Judge's home run is MLB's first since at least 2008 (when pitch tracking started), that was off a pitch that fast and that far inside

Probably not wise to be torching your bullpen when you have a bullpen game tomorrow, but that's just me.

Schneider also utilized a good chunk of his pen in a game that was pretty much well in hand.

This will all come into play tomorrow.

Fun fact: The Yankees had never shut out the Red Sox in postseason play.....ever.

Yankees had not had a nine-inning shutout of the Red Sox since 2020.

One of the stats that annoys me the most: All of Mickey Mantle's 18 postseason home runs came in World Series play but the broadcast rarely makes the distinction. God knows how many postseason homers Mickey would've had if there were this many rounds when he played.
