Oregon lawyer here with a fair amount of experience in USDC D OR. Judge Immergut is certainly more conservative than Judge Simon. But she is smart and principled, and she clearly believes in the rule of law. It is a shame, though probably prudent, that Judge Simon granted the recusal motion.

You’re right as to the total lack of principle. But you’re so wrong to stain Calvinball by comparing the Roberts Court to it.
