Tourists Feeding Bears in Japan Has Deadly Consequences - Unseen Japan A sad story from Hokkaido illustrates how tourist behavior altered the disposition of a bear that came to view humans as food.

ICYMI: A brown bear in Hokkaido, well known to locals as the “Mother of Iwaobetsu," was normally calm. After being fed by tourists, her behavior changed. On August 14, 2025, she attacked and killed a 26-year-old hiker on Mt. Rausu.

New chair is way better than the old one. One positive from covid is that more people worked from home, so these chairs became a lot easier and cheaper to get.

Sapporo big sized trash can now be done totally on-line now. Scheduling, payment, and they give you the code to put on your item. No more going to the conbini to buy the big trash sticker.

Happy to report that not only does Tamiya Compound remove overspray, it will get rid of the fine sanding marks on clear parts from removing that mold ridge in some canopies. Instead of having to dip the part in clear floor polish.

We've been using our ceramic one for about 15 years.
