The Solitaire Conspiracy - a short FMV solitaire game with a spy thriller story. Each of the face cards in the Crews (different suits you unlock) having unique abilities was fun. Most achievements are based on story completion, with a few tied to other modes you unlock later.

And a game out of nowhere just got a huge ass update with 5x the amount of achievements. So, we're arguably *losing* progress.

I'm kinda at a point right now where I'm burnt out of most things, and there's not a lot I can really beat at the moment without sinking a huge amount of my time into. Which sucks cause it's been like two weeks and I haven't beaten another game yet.

But consider the following: you totally could though. I've seen people amass little (or large!) collections of objects before. I would too, but both lack the storage space, and I have no clue where to even start.

Proverbs - a puzzle game mix between Picross and Minesweeper, where you solve one giant puzzle (split into sections). It's plain harmless fun, and has hint and remove errors buttons that you can use with no penalty. Achievements aren't missable, as they're tied to completion. Took me about 35 hours.

Ultimate Zombie Defense - got it during a free promotion, otherwise it's $5. It's got the groundworks of an interesting game, but without much depth or polish. Achievements are not hard at all, with the most trouble being given by one that just requires keeping the game open for an hour straight.

Speaking of, I wish a lot of the solitaire games on the market weren't just mobile ports or tied into weird romance/smut stories. I've been looking for another game like the Zachtronics Collection for months.

I think I'm turning into an old woman, because stuff like dominoes, solitaire, and variations of picross are really starting to appeal to me. Got Proverbs a few days ago and I've just been listening to 40+ hours of Nickelodeon show summaries in the background while I churn sections of the board out.

Tried the Dead as Disco demo this morning. It's *really* fun, and the design is impressive too. There's not much of the main story/features playable in it, but the Infinite Disco arena allows you to fight waves of enemies to the game's library of songs, or import songs of your own with a custom BPM.

I need more games that let you play as robots, or at least an easier way to search for them on the Steam storefront. I've started venturing into obscure Swedish platformers just to get my fix.

Would try getting into mecha stuff, but all the good ones are like $60.

I can only remember one song about September off the top of my head. I'm sure other months are used as song titles too, maybe they're just,,,not as popular?

7 Days To Die - it was fun in 2016. Not an enjoyable experience nowadays, and a sham for the $45 it costs. Major changes to core mechanics are made on a whim, and it has slower updates than Phasmophobia. Last few achievements have a miserable tens-of-hours long XP grind, even with a 300% multiplier.

Cardboard Town - a roguelite card-based city builder. It was fun for a day or two, but didn't have as much depth as I was expecting. The nine 'game modes' included are basically just different difficulty options, and there's little incentive to play them outside of the two needed for achievements.

After spending like five years straight on Promethea, it makes all the other locations feel a lot less shorter in comparison. I think Eden-6 was the worst to actually navigate through with all the verticality.
