@jimccasey1.bsky.social has already made me cry. @altnehgov.altgov.info was essential for me as a professional, for so many of us. My career, the friendships I hold so dear, my work -- I can never express enough gratitude.

In between stints working at NEH, I got the chance to co-lead an institute on DH+Caribbean Studies. It led me to new friends, colleagues, and opportunities to learn from a truly community-driven field. nehcaribbean.domains.uflib.ufl.edu

My career is deeply indebted to the @neh-odh.bsky.social . They supported the kind of interdisciplinary projects that colleagues weren’t ready to support or credit. They sent the message that technology and the humanities mattered. They pushed research to be more innovative. For pennies!
