Thank you, Scotland was a "make-up" trip after I didn't make it to Greenland. I appreciate all the Disko Bay shots on my timeline.

The telephoto on my phone is pretty potato but it's great when out in weather and deciding if there's a shot worth a lens change.

Having an effectively 14-400mm test framer in my hand is a nice tool.

A little preview of where I was the last couple of weeks. Had an awesome but chilly morning at Dunnottar Castle on the east coast of Scotland. In this shot, I managed to catch a sunstar as the castle was backlit by the rising sun.

This juvenile lion was resting in the grass by a kill, we think its mother was out looking for her other cub at the time. I liked the patterns in its eyes as it looked up at us briefly before going back to sleep.

We came upon this elephant eating breakfast near sunrise. It wasn't very accustomed to humans so we moved along quickly.

Any modern concept of code review would have regressed this to more like -0.2x as someone would occasionally need to write comments on their PRs and then be free for days.

The bottom that I've seen was described to me as a -1.5x in that we needed most of two average devs working in shifts to contain his menace.

Nice, I was a little late to catch the castle with foliage last year, and a little early for snow.

I did see some highland cows this week with nice colors around.

We were lucky enough to find an aardwolf roaming around just after sunset outside the gates of Makgadikgadi National Park.

These small, nocturnal cousins of hyena subsist almost entirely on ants and termites.

This was the first time I saw them in daylight. We saw them on a night drive on a private reserve in Tanzania back in 2020.

There were a few first for me in this area: aardvark, aardwolf, brown hyena, spring hare (those are super weird).
