When a Tesla dealership gets shot at they send ICE. When a school gets shot at they send thoughts and prayers.

When attacking the real president, Democrats may want to mention his nostalgia for the previous political system in his home country and how that dictates which government agencies have earne his ire. The gloves need be thrown out the window!

Taking office isn’t the same without such a tradition. It’s happened every 4 years since the dawn of the Republic so a little cold shouldn’t end this tradition. Even Bush’s first inauguration wasn’t deterred by a little rain. Our new president’s commitment to the people is weaker than a little cold.

We should say that this new presidency is illegitimate because of an unprecedented indoor inauguration. The American people expect the President to stand on the steps of the Capitol and address them with his vision for the nation. Not even a pandemic stopped this sacred tradition.
