WTF? Harvard stands up to him so he throws a tantrum and does this. What's next? Secret police in every university???

16.03.2025 17:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Originally found on FB. I have another one I'll share in a min that is a bit of an eye-opener.
16.03.2025 17:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Agreed. It feels more like isolated messages into the void, a bit Twitter-like/a bit Instagram-like, less of a community feel. We really really need a good Facebook replacement.
16.03.2025 17:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think it's slightly more user friendly for connecting to people, although my memory of Twitter is pretty old so maybe a later edition was very much like this. Sorry for the late reply - notifications seem to be set incorrectly. A tad clunky, no?
15.03.2025 03:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0WTF?!? Elon Musk reposted this on X before quietly deleting it:
โStalin, Mao, and Hitler didnโt murder millions of people. Their public sector employees did.โ
Quick break to kindly ask folks, if you are able, please consider donating to amazing artist and my friend, Karl Kopinski , who needs help recovering from a stroke! ๐

Quite convinced it would make a nice mini series on HBO... same screenplay team as Foundation, flesh it out with some appealing actors and great filming locations.
12.03.2025 04:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have Threads but took an instant dislike to it, it was just too connected to Insta. I use Insta almost purely to look at art and random photos, basically a lurker for aesthetic reasons.
12.01.2025 03:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This seems like a blend between Twitter and Facebook... and might be a good backup in case FB ever goes full postal on us.
12.01.2025 03:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I guess I'd better start moving forward with using BlueSky and Cara from now on. Half my art friends are abandoning Facebook after the Meta announcement. Ugh. I feel spread too thin.

Acrylic/mixed media paintings from many years ago. Various photographers gave me permission to use their costume photos for reference material. Anyone who wants to know where the source photos are from can ask, I think I have all the links stored.

Going to post some old art to help flesh this place out a little. More new stuff to come once completed/out of NDA.
19.11.2024 17:19 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm back - I'd lost my log in details, archived somewhere in a mail account. Seems everyone is getting pretty excited about joining so I'd better add more art asap!

07.02.2024 16:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Quick snap of a Christmas present for my brother in law. Pencil (Faber Castell) on French paper. Lovely frame made by a woman in Ontario (via Etsy: AnneCraftedCo).

22.10.2023 04:02 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There was an important footie game on in Halifax. We got partial viewing. The weather gods are ambivalent about football, clearly.
15.10.2023 04:21 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Rather random job for a tech company, paintings of some tech entrepreneurs they were working with. Well, until one of them got dragged off to court in the US, but that's another story...
Done with Photoshop, refs from public domain paintings and licenses they had. Ended up doing 5 in all.
Made some govt logos for a tiny island territory in the Caribbean (why is that so difficult to spell?). They ended up going with the two with the speech bubble, one of them for print, the other for on-screen uses.
05.10.2023 02:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Illustrations (digital ink pen style, done in Photoshop) for a book on RW Emerson. Ended up with 12 in all, one of each month of the year.
