The 3rd stitch I want to show you is called whip-stitch. I like to match the angle of my stitches to the angle of the threads on the selvedge of the band so that they almost disappear.
The band Iโm working with is called Hallstatt Triforce: www.tabletweavingintheoryandpractice.co.uk/2025/05/hall...

To ease a band around a curve, I sew running stitches through it with a strong thread and gently pull on it to get the band into the right position.

Apologies for the wobbly footage!
I find that working from the centre out gives me more control over placement than starting at the back of the neck and working round.

The two bands in this video are Bulgarica and Hallstatt Triforce. fFree drafts for them are on my blog: www.tabletweavingintheoryandpractice.co.uk?m=1
