Doctors in Cheshire and Merseyside believe NHS England’s drive to save money comes at the cost of patient safety.

Doctors are “overwhelmed” and staff morale is at an all-time low, with many left to cover unmanageable patient numbers with staffing cover that does not meet required safe levels.

Fight Rule By The Rich!

Inequality is driving the cost-of-living crisis. Billionaires get richer- you lose out.

It’s a threat to democracy too - extreme wealth buys political influence & rigs the system for the powerful.

Tax the rich. Raise living standards. Defend democracy.

“The trouble is the review… avoids the difficult question of how you set that scope, that limit of what PAs can do.”

Responding to the Leng Review, BMA council chair @tomdolphin.bsky.social has spoken to the BBC about doctors’ concerns over patient safety

GPs are really worried about the future.

It's a challenging time when we're not even sure of the government's commitment to general practice at its best: well resourced family doctors embedded in their local communities, serving patients who know them and trust them.

Viewpoint: AI won't bring back the family doctor - hiring more GPs will The 10-year health plan is looking to AI and tech to solve the problems facing the NHS, when the answer lies in investing in general practice and more GPs, says Dr Tom Riddington.

From winter fuel to universal credit, the suffering of those who cannot help themselves is seemingly disregarded.

Labour must again be challenged, robustly, on fundamental errors of principle that should shame any politician who see themselves as a champion of working people.

"How are survey responses collected?

FON surveys rely on PMP members to answer questions as they visit the site. PMP members are incentivised to visit the site daily to earn bonuses and claim any giveaway winnings."

Discrimination, harassment and violence will increase if trans people lose access to toilets and other spaces.

Many will feel driven from public life. That's what's at stake here.

There's no benefit to women. Just harm to trans people and anyone who doesn’t fit gendered stereotypes.

The UK has 16% fewer GPs per patient than the OECD average.

Source: Cogora Primary Care Workforce report, January 2025

Compared to other OECD nations, the UK has fallen behind on ensuring that we have enough GPs to care for every patient.

We urgently need a plan from Government to retain the #GeneralPractice workforce.

A private equity firm just bought £1.6 BILLION worth of the NHS Assura has sold NHS buildings to a US private equity giant, making £1.61 billion from infrastructure that we should own

A private equity firm just bought £1.6 BILLION worth of the NHS.

It will make bigger profits by hiking rents for hospitals and NHS facilities. Previous govts privatized the estate.

That means less money for frontline healthcare. NHS already drained by PFI and private contractors.
