I think it’s a female brown-headed cowbird.

Sure looks like a fox sparrow to me. Congrats on the find.

A red-throated loon showed up at the local lake. I always hope loons will stick around long enough for me to get a look at their breeding plumage. But strangely, this doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.
