Ah i might not have shared it here. A gnarly bike accident on my way to BK a couple weeks ago. Been bed ridden since, only today have I gone back outside to return some library stuff and put some money in my bank account.

Almost healed up, but I’ll be resting at home a bit longer.

It’s officially a Wes Anderson weekend. Still resting up my leg after the accident so I’ll be taking it easy this weekend.

Also The Life Aquatic is free on YT (free with ads if you don’t have Premium), so that makes 5 movies, 1 weekend.

Fun.

No real big news to share, but I thought I’d show off something in my Apple collection, this 4GB iPod nano.

They’re very hard to find these days in working order due to the dreaded “black spot, so I’m very happy to have such a well kept keepsake. Was also my first iPod, and a Salvation Army find.

Hate when that happens.

I’m not sure. I used to have some VGMs that weren’t on P2612 proper, like Urban Strike, and for what it’s worth, I DO still have the VGM files for games like FIFA 95’ (banger) and Ultracore.

Yesterday, the Xbox One S and NES officially left my collection. This is a small part of a larger effort to gain some money out of downsizing my retro game collection.

Fortunately, I didn’t leave empty handed. I got $65 to help me save up for that Laserdisc player, and these titles!

I made my (likely) final DVD purchases for some time today, as I shift spending towards LaserDisc in the future. This means I’ll need to save as much as possible for a player, and to take the likely huge shipping costs.

Also got my BK for the week, cuz why wouldn’t I?

Flashback to the one time I found a TRULY special relic. Didn’t buy it but with how rare these are, I wish I did. Would’ve been a great story to tell (Not the movie, the CED format)

I’ve decided to get into LaserDisc today.

Haven’t bought anything yet, but am writing my wishlist and saving searches.

This is the collector’s endgame now.

So I bought just a little more, these two tapes. The place I bought em from said they had one more Superman film, but they told me not to hurry, it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

$10 for both. I think that’s a good deal.

Got my meal for the week, making progress on a pitch bible for a series I’ve been working on, found an Apple Mighty Mouse for $7, and the local BK is playing Franz Ferdinand on the radio.

It’s 2025 and life is good.

For reference, I turned to the British Teletext operator… well, Teletext (Ltd.), who also operated the legendary Digitiser. Those full screen graphics were the pivotal factor to get me to try making this work on stream. I also plan to do more teletext art in the future, so there’s that.

Happy to say I’ve been working on a new Graphics package for Nikkcade inspired by one of my favorite things on this earth…
