Now that the prisons have been emptied, perhaps he will start emptying the nursing homes - a new Zimmer frame brigade

Presumably military and humanitarian aid funds are included in the NATO member 2% of GDP guideline?

Although Americans aren’t known for mass protests, perhaps they should start organised protests against a newly installed fascist regime?

US prosperity is reliant on Europe’s prosperity! As it has for hundreds of years. No man or country is an island!

He can try but US institutions are still strong (albeit weakened) . Sanity and decency will prevail

Yes, tariffs on the import of zero RU goods would have no effect. But secondary sanctions on the export of Chinese goods to RU would be devastating

Completely agree. They do work in the medium to long term as long as the threat of secondary sanctions are enforced. The Chinese are opportunists and will play both sides to achieve their goals. But I think they would drop RU in a heart beat if their exports were in danger

Russia’s collapse would be a gift to Cihina. It could take outer Manchuria and go north to Siberian oil and gas fields. China is biding it’s time

My wife is from Ukraine. I really do believe this is the last year of the war. It’s just not sustainable for Russia beyond this point. They only have about 35 billion usd in fx reserves and Kremlin has forced RU banks to lend 250 billion usd to military contractors to make weapons. It’s ending

The recent Biden sanctions will hurt - but RU is already side stepping them . Europe needs to immediately stop all LNG purchases from Mordor. That would really hurt . The US would benefit immediately

Yes, a tragically blinkered weak man on so many levels. My only concern is what he does for Ukraine! Just hoping some of his picks - Kellogg, Rubio and Waltz will do the right thing for US and humanity
