I saw that, it was absolutely horrendous. I just hadn’t realised it was due to new rules introduced by Labour.
What were the new court rules?
(1) Nobody cares about aggravated offences. That’s a consolation prize for Labour scrapping its other LGBT+ policies. And it’s just more carceral BS.
(2) Labour is itself enacting and enabling conversion therapy and hate crimes right now.

The reason centrists are so obsessed with hypnoboobs is because they genuinely think it's a world class dunk, a straight flush, the absolute perfect gotcha.

It's not about "don't criticise the Greens". Your specific claim is that this has "ripped his credibility to shreds". That's desperate, tribalist hyperbole. The significance of this story has been wildly inflated in bad faith.
Pretend to care about it if you like, don't expect others to follow suit.
Duncan, with respect, no current member of the Labour Party is in any position to lecture anybody else on credibility. It is a desperate reach to pretend to care very much about this story from 13 years ago, simply because it's the only thing Polanski's opponents have been able to dig up on him.

I generally assume that political parties know what their constituencies think better than the rest of us do: they spend so much money on polling and focus groups.
But I would be *amazed* if they understood how viscerally they are loathed by young progressives for pushing trans people under a bus.

I've been comfort watching 90s ER on Netflix. A 30 year-old show: Trans character with sympathetic backstory. Multiple gay characters. HIV discussed every episode. Main characters who are black and brown talking about systemic racism

Today is five years since I lost my husband Jerry to cancer.
The grief is different after such a long time, less raw and all-consuming, but it's still a constant background presence.
You are never the same again after such a loss. The pain never goes away, any more than the love does.
Or you play a hilarious practical joke where you accept all the truly godawful Labour MPs and then suspend them from the party 24 hours before the submission deadline so they can't stand again.
I wonder if Tony Blair has prerecorded video messages so he can continue making "rare interventions" on the issues of the day even after he dies?
