It’s Primary Time!
Tuesday (TOMORROW) is Primary Election Day & I want to take a moment to thank all of you who have voted for me & supported my campaign. Our shared vision and your belief in my ability to help bring it to life is what has fueled me day to day leading up to this day.

Texas Democrats are showing the courage we need from Democrats everywhere. There are 15 Democratic trifecta states that can redraw their own maps if Republicans escalate: CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NM, NY, OR, RI, and WA.

Texas House Democrats flee the state in bid to block GOP’s proposed congressional map The lawmakers’ absence means the lower chamber won’t have enough members present to function, stalling passage of a draft map Democrats have condemned as a political power grab.

But Texas Democrats didn’t blink. They boarded planes, crossed state lines, and dared Republicans to try and pass that fascist map without them. This is the kind of fight we need to see from more Democrats right now.

Sarah and @hugo4burien.bsky.social have made an impressive progressive team while in a 5-2 minority- they’ve had each others backs, been able to scrape a few wins we didn’t see coming, & held fast to their values even when out numbered. I trust them with power because I’ve seen how they govern.

Rent prices are falling fast in America’s most pro-housing cities Rental prices in some of the country's largest cities are falling—some by almost 45 percent, according to new data.

Rents in Spokane are down 12% as a result of pro-housing legislation, like removing parking minimums, incentivizing housing on former parking lots, and upzoning all residential parcels.

As of yesterday, only about 8% of Burien ballots had been received by King County elections. This means fewer than 2,500 of our Burien friends & neighbors have turned in their ballot.

Post updated this morning with an email from Cathy Moore, who resigned from the council, to Councilmember Mark Solomon, trying to influence him not to move forward with renters' commission appointments that she preventing from moving forward for her entire 18-month term.

Regarding the #EpsteinFiles, since we care about children, Palestinian children are dying from starvation with the huge help of your tax dollars.
