I cannot understand why this is not a National scandal. Just because they have to declare such “donations” doesn’t make it moral. Please start a campaign against what appears to be blatant corruption. My subscription is safe!

There is very little to choose from up but if you want to understand exactly what is going on I still recommend PE (satire & very good investigative reporting despite IH), Byline, National and Ch4. There is no “perfect” group of media outlets but for me those 4 are best - the Guardian in reserve!

Because they “donate” so much to politicians and their parties! What could possibly be their motive? Should this not be asked of our Governments? In an independent Scotland this must be effectively legislated. Will never happen in Westminster imho.

We have a very dangerous “Governance” situation in this “U.K.” where politicians have morphed into media journalists with the media becoming the decision-makers. Both driven by extreme, greedy, far-right capitalism that even Thatcher wouldn’t recognise.

It is undeniable that modern U.K. politics is riven, even dictated, by donations/bribes or whatever you want to call them. However the word “corrupt” is something that U.K. doesn’t associate itself with. But it is so blatantly obvious - just depends on your definition of donations/bribes/corruption.

Totally agree.

The difference between a “donation” and a “bribe” has to be legislated. We cannot allow a similar “grey area” to infiltrate into a new Independent Scottish political system.
