I'd be remiss if I didn't also acknowledge the force of nature Tim Russ unleashes as post-mind-meld Tuvok throughout the rest of the episode. Building from the almost imperceptible tension in the ready room, like a storm crashing through to the final scenes. Good episode.

Alright, another Brad Dourif appreciation post. In his initial Star Trek: Voyager episode as Lon Suder his interviews with Tuvok during the murder investigation are absolutely, wonderfully, unsettling. Cold, detached; the timing on line delivery is just exquisite. "...[looks up] No reason."

Having worked various service industry jobs (retail, restaurants) I've often mused that the world should have compulsory service industry work. Force people to see how insane it is and in 2 generations, 3 tops, we'll have a utopia.
