The attack affected their internal systems too - the manager at my local M&S told me it’s been a nightmare trying to get stock (their shelves are constantly empty) because the ordering was centralised and taking it all offline has made it near impossible. 😔

All *excellent* tips. I’ve always felt it beneficial for writers to be able to succinctly pitch their story in a sentence: it sharpens their idea and the writing process by pushing them to really think what the core narrative is. At least, that’s what I always try to do! 😅

I’m very stressed at the moment and said to a friend, ‘I’m going to switch off, meditate and go for a run - then I’ll calm down’, but then I remembered I can’t run* and I sobbed a bit. I’m so desperate to, it’s killing me. *Maybe in the autumn, maybe later; my hip recovery is slow. 😭

Bursts of colour, I’m full of joy; it’s a delight to see these - planted the day before my hip surgery in November - finally flower in the garden. Their slow growth, alongside my recovery, a reminder to keep pushing through the dark months: things will always get brighter. 🌸🌼🪻

Ugh. Not at all in the same league, but my kitchen sink is blocked (at the end where the water lifter is, so it requires a professional) and I can’t wash up or use the dishwasher and my bathroom sink is too small. Hope you can fix your tank speedily.

Which platform did it end up on? I remember David Simon posting that they’d finally got the music rights sorted and it was available to stream - I’ve been planning a rewatch myself, just want to commit good time to it..!

I switch everything off, do not disturb on it all, plug in headphones. I want 100% focus so I don’t miss a thing. And then I watch it again later, just to be sure. 😅

I suspect that the majority of people saying they find Severance too slow or that it’s boring have limited attention spans and are unable to stop scrolling on their phone while they watch. Every frame is a multitude of detail, story, clues; it’s their loss if they don’t see that.

It’s a small thing, but: just had my first haircut in almost 6 months and it’s the first time I’ve been ‘out’ out (not including physio or rehab) since my hip surgery 3 months ago. Felt so weird - but good! - to be amongst normal people (not doctors or medical specialists) again.

Such mixed feelings about this… I worry for mama and papa and hope they’re okay (esp. papa after the terrible attack - have you seen him recently?); yet I’m excited by the possibility of the interlopers nesting in your garden and maybe further generations of swans living at your home each year.

Absolutely no spoilers from me, ever, but Season 2 Episode 4 of #Severance: OH MY FUCKING GOD! This isn’t telly, this is top-level goddamn brilliance in filmmaking. Absolutely incredible. Bloody hell.
