Any farmers out there that can speak to whether they can get info for planting season ? Or loans to help them get through this ?
Are federal offices open to even process loan requests ?
Yess!! You got this! It's a journey!
Should be called tyrants, butchers, murderers!
Thank you!!
Elaine Chukan Brown is a wine educator, author, & activist. I got their new book, The Wines of California, as a review copy, & I am blown away. This book weaves in the history of California beyond the scope of any wine book I've read. Here's The Fizz with Elaine: thefizz.substack.com/p/the-fizz-8...
Connections will be the straw that breaks the camels back for me one day, my thirteenth reason.
Woohoo! Paid off my car today! I bought my 2019 Nissan Rogue new, and I don't regret that, but I was paying $450/month and this is a huge weight off my shoulders. Happy day!
If you play music or watch TikToks on the plane without headphones, just know you are despised by your neighbors. Do better!
The fact that Gandalf makes Frodo decide whether to go through the mines of Moria is so messed up. He was the one who knew about the balrog. He should've had the burden of the decision. #LOTR
Please leave us alone!!!
"They'll never cut Social Security" is the new "they'll never overturn Roe v Wade."

We're all doing taxes now (or have done them if you're more prepared than me). What % of your take-home pay did you give to charity? I'm embarrassed to see that I only gave 1.7% of my take home to charity in 2024 (including GoFundMes, orgs, etc). In 2025, I'm going to do better, with a goal of 5%.
It's not an absolute fix but it helps. I also got a standing desk to try and limit sitting time. I also go to the gym and run 3-4 days per week, but that doesn't make up for all the prolonged sitting!
Big same--I put a yoga mat in my office and try to find 5 minutes after every meeting to do my PT back exercises, even if that means being 5 minutes late to the next one. I give folks a heads up that I need 5mins and it's usually no problem.
Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in
Back home in Maine just in time for tomorrow's storm.
Alack, thou dost usurp authority.
Run for office!
I take 15-20 flights a year for work, and have done so for years, and have still never in my life pressed the flight attendant call button.
My synagogue is interviewing new rabbi candidates. One of the first questions asked at the Q&A with our first candidate is how long the rabbi's services will be. I love us hahaha
Incredible book for anyone in the running community. Completely science based referencing interesting studies about how humans find their limits. I devoured this in a couple of days. Excited to find more from this author.
Omg that is awful
Booked our tickets to run the Missoula half marathon! Excited to visit Yellowstone for the first time. Send me your recs for best hikes, coffee, eats, wine, the whole thing! I've wanted to come to this area for many years.
