Not wanting to put this in my previous thread. I stay in my own lane most of the time but I am just frustrated with how the obsession with creepypastas has poisoned search results in the worst way. This really was the worst period.

The US cover art of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the Sega Megadrive with Sonic in very much the same stance as in Sonic 2, but this time with three fingers held up.

Having looked back on these I have to wonder if I'm alone in the feeling how post-Sonic 1, covers for PAL & US games were rushed last second considerations particularly when it's hard to miss how Sonic's stance doesn't seem to change much in the US versions.

The PAL version of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the Sega Megadrive, with a very grotesque Mohawk Sonic with an enormous left hand. A 'pink' Knuckles exists on the bottom left. The background is Carnival Night Zone. Kind of an odd choice to go with!

The PAL region came cover of the Sonic Compilation Pack with designs of Robotnik in his appearance in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon series, and Tails and Sonic in a unique form. Sonic is holding a placard mentioning Sonic 1, Sonic 2 and Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine all on the one cartridge. The foreground containing flora of varying colours that is not present in any listed games.

Cover art for Sonic 3D - Flickies' Island for the Sega MegaDrive. It has a rather pointy face shot of an early 3D Sonic, with the game title underneath.

It's a shame Sega of Europe never kept the same style going similar to the JP styles, as we followed suit with the US for Sonic 2 before they went back to doing their own with...well... "interesting designs" none the less.

NGL the Sonic 3D cover slaps. That font choice I'm not so hot on though.
