I can’t believe I’ve kept up with this new album a day thing for two months. It’s been a lot of fun. I’ve made some great discoveries. It also really helps that this has been a phenomenal year for album releases so far. Not that there isn’t tons of back catalogue stuff to explore but I love new 🥳

I hate to think of my tally in a given month at the University of Alabama 😬🫠

Sam Beam is one of those dudes that just dependably puts out good records and this one is no exception. Two nice collabs with I’m With Her here too. “Dates and Dead People” is my gut reaction favorite track. Very ornate and builds to a big swell of sound.

In the post above, apparently there was a lawsuit of sorts about the OG cover on the left and it was replaced with this cover below and now there's a third cover, so I guess this all makes sense here, but I've seen it other times by other bands and it's a confusing move:

I always find it peculiar when a band changes album art on a re-release/new pressing/etc.

DIIV has released new album art for their latest vinyl reissue of 2012's Oshin.

She's a very awesome person.

Not exactly the same, but I had a friend get so obsessed with the drums on Radiohead's "Weird Fishes" that she took drum lessons until she could play it and then abruptly stopped lol

There’s one venue here that still does paper tickets, but that’s only if you buy in person.

Most venues here don’t waive or decrease fees when buying in person anymore. “We still have to use the software” is the answer I’ve been given when asking why.

These old ass phone photos of Tame Impala playing a club in Kentucky are from 13 years ago today. Tickets were $16. Now they play basketball arenas and tickets are flirting with $200.

They’re coming for everything everywhere.
